2008 was one of the greatest years of my life, if not the most close to me. I feel as if I'm losing an old friend, but I realize I'm gaining a new start. I have a feeling 2009 will be beautiful and full of exciting new things, but 2008 will always be special. I learned so much during it, and it was just so close to me, and so special and sacred.

this might come a bit belated, but the beloved Pauline Baynes passed away a few weeks ago at the age of eighty-five. She was my favorite illustrator, and she had really brought the world of Narnia alive for so many people.
